This level 1 module introduces the methods analysts use to assess players using video. You’ll learn how elite analysts in the Premier League and La Liga gain deep insights from key video clips.
Data is a powerful tool for identifying players, but it can’t capture everything. Whatever the data says about a player, analysts still need to see them perform. Fortunately, as well as huge databases, analysts have access to deep libraries of video footage.
This level 1 module introduces the methods analysts use to assess players using video. You’ll learn how elite analysts in the Premier League and La Liga gain deep insights from key video clips. The module follows their process from preparation to the final report.
In the final interactive exercise you’ll take on the role of a video scout, using your new knowledge to assess a goalkeeper and report your judgement to your club. This module is CPD accredited.
