Performance analysts help their team prepare for each fixture by studying the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. Drawing on the experience of analysts from the Premier League, the Championship and La Liga, this module shows you how the professionals analyse each upcoming opponent.

In elite football, teams study their opponents carefully, to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Performance analysts use data and video to understand opposition teams in depth and support the coaches as they prepare for each fixture.

Drawing on the experience of analysts from the Premier League, the Championship and La Liga, this module shows you how the professionals analyse each upcoming opponent. You’ll learn to see a team the way an opposition analyst does, identifying their key threats and the drawbacks of their system.

The module wraps up with an interactive exercise giving you the chance to analyse a team for yourself, and decide what to report to your coach. The exercise is based on real analysis carried out by a La Liga professional.
