Level 2: Performance Analysis Tools in Football

Learn best practice for working with key analysis devices

Our Level 2 course in Performance Analysis Tools introduces the key devices used by professional analysts.

At its core, performance analysis is the application of technology to football. A key part of the role is tracking developments in technology, and being your club’s resident expert in using technological tools.

Two types of device are especially important: cameras and wearables. Analysts use cameras to record matches and training and capture useful clips. Wearable devices allow analysts to collect granular data on physical and even technical performance.

Level 2 Performance Analysis Tools is suitable for anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of working with analysis devices. You might be an early-career analyst looking to get the most out of key tools, or a student preparing for your first job or placement.

This course is not the ideal starting point if you’re new to performance analysis. Our Level 1 Foundation in Performance Analysis is a better starting point if you want to find out what the discipline involves and how it’s used in elite football. However, if you’re completely new to data in football, the best place to start is the Level 1 Introduction to Analysis in Football course.
